A high number. Many proteins are the same in most species.
Page 231: ‘must have cell division, therefore DNA’, ‘RNA has the same problem as for DNA’
What about lesser molecular replication than RNA such as replicating peptides?
Read pages 20 – 22 June, 2005 issue of the Scientific American about ‘RNA to the Rescue’, contrary to Mr. Meyer’s contention.
Page 237: “… have the casual power to produce info” ‘Intelligence can, so there must be an IDer’
Not so fast. Keep looking for other possibilities. This is what science always does with great success.
Comment by Paul Jacobson: Dembski’s Law of Conservation of Information has been shown to be false — information can be increased by chance processes. Duplicate genes that mutate independently increase in information in nature — one gene to a larger number of genes also increases information. the argument that DNA must get its information from somewhere else is flawed.

Evolution of biological complexity
I have composed a software program that shows the fallacy of probabilities regarding evolution. It compares pure chance occurrence of evolution using only mutations compared to the chance occurrence using selection. Example run: by pure chance (mutations only) the number of steps needed is 1.29807421463371 X 1088, with mutations and selection the number of steps needed is 155! The first number says it is almost impossible, the second number says it is very possible. Remember the environment of a species has many more than one factor involved in natural selection — natural selection is very determined on what mutated genes survive.
