More on Science

Scientific activity is an atheistic and a secular endeavor.

Often it is stated that scientists of the past were deeply religious.
However, if you look at their lasting accomplishments that actually
helped mankind you will see they were those produced when they looked at
the world as an atheist.  They accomplished great things when they
viewed reality as natural; not as having a supernatural component.

Many scientists have tried to find some rational and realism
in considering the supernatural, but without success.
Example: Isaac Newton:  Apart from his scientific accomplishments
he investigated astrology and religious prophecy – nothing useful resulted
from his consideration of the supernatural realm..

Science, including Quantum Mechanics or Quantum Physics
does not show or prove God or any other part of the supposed
supernatural.  Scientists that say so are only taking a great leap of faith.
There is not the slightest evidence of the supernatural in modern
science.

Assume there is a creator (God) of everything and this creator has a
personal influence in the lives of humans.  Ironically, when looking at the wonderful
fruit of scientists and applied scientists this creator seems to
reward the activity of people that act on the premise that there is no creator.

The application of the atheistic activity, science,
has contributed more than any other human endeavor to the well-being of
us humans.  Compare your life with that of the life of somebody that
lived in the days before secular science — which would you choose?

An instance:  My wife’s aunt (close to 90) went to see an optometrist for an
eye appointment.  She was a literal believer of the Bible.  When the doctor took
her into his office, he first asked her to bow for a word of prayer about her
condition before the examination..  This shocked the aunt so much that she
got up and walked out.  Later she said she thought she was seeing a professional,
not a preacher; and that she lost all confidence in this doctor’s abilities.
The supernatural realm was a detriment to serious business!

Religions, psychics, etc.  use this atheistic science to promote their vision of reality.
Now-a-days, often missionary work entails the application of science to improve the lot of
the people they hope to convert.  They piggy-back their belief system on these improvements.
In other words people depend on the resulting benefits of an atheistic activity, namely science, to promote
their personal belief in a fictitious supernatural realm and attack
atheism itself.  Attacking the hand that feeds them!
