God of the Bible Murders {Part 1}

Comment: – Mass murders ordered, committed, or approved by GOD OF THE BIBLE.

What happened to: ‘Thou shalt not kill’ and ‘Thou shalt not steal’? Is God of the Bible
moral by definition alone? The following is a list of God of the Bible murders. Can genocide be justified?

When I started on this topic I didn’t expect so many verses as evidence that the God of the Bible is a murderer.

With all the following verses the PLAIN TRUTH is that the God of the Bible is not a God
of Love; more likely a God of Hate. The verses show plainly God of the Bible is a bully.

Reading these verses, anyone that doesn’t see immorality in the things that the God of the
Bible did, must be morally bankrupt himself.

Keep in mind, as you read these verses that many Christians believe that Jesus is the God of the Bible – the god of the Old Testament. Surely no one would worship such a God! One of the most embarrassing topics for Bible believers.

God orders people to murder. What kind of God is this? What kind of moral example is this?

Another reason the Bible could not be a message from the God of the Universe. It can
only be the description of a primitive society with primitive beliefs.

The following are some of the verses that apply (The Lord means God of the Bible):The verses clearly speak for themselves so there is little comment.Because of the overwhelming number of verses, you might want to spread it out and read only 5 or 6 verses each day, so that the whole impact of what happened is felt.
Genesis 7:23: 23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained [alive], and they that [were] with him in the ark.
Genesis 19:24: 24. Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven;

Exodus 14:27: 27 And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. 28 And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, [and] all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.

Deuteronomy 7:1 – 3: 1. When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou;; 2 And when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee; thou shalt smite them, [and] utterly destroy them; thou shalt make no covenant withthem, nor shew mercy unto them:; 3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them; thy daughter thou shalt not give unto his son, nor his daughter shalt thou take unto thy son.
Exodus 17:11: 11 And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.

Exodus 17:16

16 For he said, Because the LORD hath sworn [that] the LORD [will have] war with Amalek from generation to generation.

Exodus 32:27 – 28: 27 And he said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Put every man his sword by his side, [and] go in and out from gate to gate throughout the camp, and slay every man his brother, and every man his companion, and every man his neighbour.; 28 And the children of Levi did according to the word of Moses: and there fell of the people that day about three thousand men.
Numbers 14:36 – 37: 36. And the men, which Moses sent to search the land, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the land,; 37 Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the land, died by the plague before the LORD.
Numbers 16:2 (Numbers 16: 1 to 40): 2 And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:3 And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto
them, [Ye take] too much upon you, seeing all the congregation [are] holy, every one of them, and the LORD [is] among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

Numbers 16:16

16 And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:

17 And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each [of you] his censer.

Numbers 16:20 – 23

20 And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

21 Separate yourselves from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.

22 And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh,
shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?23. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Numbers 16:30 – 33

30 But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that [appertain] unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

31 And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that [was] under them:

32 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up, and their houses, and all the men that [appertained] unto Korah, and all [their] goods. 33 They, and all that
[appertained] to them, went down alive into the pit, and the earth closed upon them: and
they perished from among the congregation.

Numbers 16:35

35. And there came out a fire from the LORD, and consumed
the two hundred and fifty men that offered incense.

Numbers 16:41 (Numbers 16:41 to 49): 41. But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against
Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

Numbers 16:45

45 Get you up from among this congregation, that I may
consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

Numbers 16:48 – 49

48 And he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.

49 Now they that died in the plague were fourteen
thousand and seven hundred, beside them that died about the matter of Korah.

Numbers 21:3: 3 And the LORD hearkened to the voice of Israel, and
delivered up the Canaanites; and they utterly destroyed them
and their cities: and he called the name of the place Hormah.
Numbers 21:25: 25 And Israel took all these cities: and Israel dwelt in all the cities of the Amorites,
in Heshbon, and in all the villages thereof.

Deuteronomy 2:32 – 35

32 Then Sihon came out against us, he and all his people, to fight at Jahaz.

33 And the LORD our God delivered him before us; and we
smote him, and his sons, and all his people.

34 And we took all his cities at that time, and
utterly destroyed the men, and the women, and the little ones, of every
city, we left none to remain:

35 Only the cattle we took for a prey unto ourselves, and the spoil of the cities which we took.

Numbers 21:34: 34 And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon.; 35 So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his land.
Numbers 25:4: 4 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

Numbers 25:9

9 And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.

Numbers 25:16 – 17: 16. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,; 17 Vex the Midianites, and smite them:

Numbers 31:7 – 8

7. And they warred against the Midianites, as the LORD commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.

8 And they slew the kings of Midian, beside the rest of them that were slain; [namely], Evi, and Rekem, and Zur, and Hur, and Reba, five kings of Midian: Balaam also the son of Beor they slew with the sword.

Deuteronomy 2:19 – 22: 19 And [when] thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon [any] possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot [for] a possession.; 20 (That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims;; 21 A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:; 22 As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day:
Joshua 6:2 (Joshua 6 and Joshua 8:1 to 30): 2 And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, [and] the mighty men of valour.; Joshua 6:21; 21 And they utterly destroyed all that [was] in the city, both man and woman, young and old, and ox, and sheep, and ass, with the edge of the sword.; Joshua 8:1 – 2; 1. And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be thou dismayed: take all the people of war with thee, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into thy hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land:; 2 And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it.

Joshua 8:8

8 And it shall be, when ye have taken the city, [that] ye shall set the city on fire: according to the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have commanded you.

Joshua 8:24 – 26

24 And it came to pass, when Israel had made an end of slaying all the inhabitants of Ai in the field, in the wilderness wherein they chased them, and when they were all fallen on the edge of the sword, until they were consumed, that all the Israelites returned unto Ai, and smote it with the edge of the sword.

25 And [so] it was, [that] all that fell that day, both of men and women, [were] twelve thousand, [even] all the men of Ai.

26 For Joshua drew not his hand back, wherewith he stretched out the spear, until he had utterly destroyed all the inhabitants of Ai.

Joshua 8:29

29 And the king of Ai he hanged on a tree until eventide: and as soon as the sun was down, Joshua commanded that they should take his carcase down
from the tree, and cast it at the entering of the gate of the city, and raise thereon a
great heap of stones, [that remaineth] unto this day.

30. Then Joshua built an altar unto the LORD God of Israel
in mount Ebal,

(The only name for this is genocide)

Joshua 10:10 – 11: 10 And the LORD discomfited them before Israel, and slew them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and chased them along the way that goeth up to Bethhoron, and smote them to Azekah, and unto Makkedah.; 11 And it came to pass, as they fled from before Israel, [and] were in the going down to Bethhoron, that the LORD cast down great stones from heaven upon them unto Azekah, and they died: [they were] more which died with hailstones
than [they] whom the children of Israel slew with the sword.

Amos 3:2

2 You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will punish you for all your iniquities.

Joshua 10:17 (Joshua 10:16 to 26): 17 And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.; Joshua 10:20; 20 And it came to pass, when Joshua and the children of Israel had made an end of slaying them with a very great slaughter, till they were consumed, that the rest [which] remained of them entered into fenced cities.; Joshua 10:22; 22 Then said Joshua, Open the mouth of the cave, and bring out those
five kings unto me out of the cave.; 23 And they did so, and brought forth those five kings unto him out of the cave, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, [and] the king of Eglon.; 24 And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.; 25 And Joshua said unto them, Fear not, nor be dismayed, be strong and of good courage: for thus shall the LORD do to all your enemies against whom ye fight. 26 And afterward Joshua smote them, and slew them, and hanged them on five trees: and they were hanging upon the trees until the evening.
Joshua 10:28, 29-30: 28. And that day Joshua took Makkedah, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof he utterly destroyed, them, and all the souls
that [were] therein; he let none remain: and he did to the king of Makkedah as he did unto the king of Jericho.; 29 Then Joshua passed from Makkedah, and all Israel with him, unto Libnah, and fought against Libnah:; 30 And the LORD delivered it also, and the king thereof, into the hand of Israel; and he smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that [were] therein; he let none remain in it; but did unto the king thereof as he did unto the king of Jericho.
Joshua 10:32 – 37: 32 And the LORD delivered Lachish into the hand of Israel, which took it on the second day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that [were] therein, according to all that he had done to Libnah.; 33 Then Horam king of Gezer came up to help Lachish; and Joshua smote him and his people, until he had left him none remaining.; 34 And from Lachish Joshua passed unto Eglon, and all Israel with him; and they encamped against it, and fought against it:35 And they took it on that day, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and all the souls that [were] therein he utterly destroyed that day, according to all that he had done to Lachish.; 36 And Joshua went up from Eglon, and all Israel with him, unto Hebron; and they fought against it:; 37 And they took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword, and the king thereof, and all the cities thereof, and all the souls that [were] therein; he left none remaining, according to all that he had done to Eglon; but destroyed
it utterly, and all the souls that [were] therein.
Joshua 10:40: 40 So Joshua smote all the country of the hills, and of
the south, and of the vale, and of the springs, and all their kings: he left none
remaining, but utterly destroyed all that breathed, as the LORD God of Israel
commanded.
Joshua 11:10 -12: 10. And Joshua at that time turned back, and took Hazor, and smote the king thereof with the sword: for Hazor beforetime was the head of all those kingdoms.; 11 And they smote all the souls that [were] therein with the edge of the sword, utterly destroying [them]: there was not any left to breathe: and he
burnt Hazor with fire.; 12 And all the cities of those kings, and all the kings of them, did Joshua take, and smote them with the edge of the sword, [and] he utterly destroyed them, as Moses the servant of the LORD commanded.

Joshua 11:16 -17

16 So Joshua took all that land, the hills, and all the south country, and all the land
of Goshen, and the valley, and the plain, and the mountain of Israel, and the valley of the same;

17 [Even] from the mount Halak, that goeth up to Seir, even unto Baalgad in the valley of Lebanon under mount Hermon: and all their kings he took, and smote them, and slew them.

Joshua 11:20

20 For it was of the LORD to harden their hearts, that they should come against Israel in battle, that he might destroy them utterly, [and] that they might have no favour, but that he might destroy them, as the LORD commanded Moses.

Judges 1:17 – 19

17 And Judah went with Simeon his brother, and they slew the Canaanites that inhabited Zephath, and utterly destroyed it. And the name of the city was called Hormah.

18 Also Judah took Gaza with the coast thereof, and Askelon with the coast thereof, and Ekron with the coast thereof.

19 And the LORD was with Judah; and he drave out [the
inhabitants of] the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

(Was the Lord not omnipotent?)

Judges 3:2: 29 And they slew of Moab at that time about ten thousand
men, all lusty, and all men of valour; and there escaped not a man.
Judges 1:4: 4 And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand: and they slew of them in Bezek tenthousand men.
Judges 3:31: 31. And after him was Shamgar the son of Anath, which slew of the Philistines six hundred men with an ox goad: and he also delivered Israel.
Judges 4:16: 16 But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the
Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; [and] there was not a man left.
Judges 8:10: 10 Now Zebah and Zalmunna [were] in Karkor, and their hosts with them, about fifteen thousand [men], all that were left of all the hosts of the children of the east: for there fell an hundred and twenty thousand men that drew sword. (Gideon did this)
Judges 9:5: 5 And he went unto his father’s house at Ophrah, and slew his brethren the sons of Jerubbaal, [being] threescore and ten persons, upon one stone: notwithstanding yet Jotham the youngest son of Jerubbaal was left; for he hid himself.; (Gideon’s son did this)
Judges 14:19: 19 And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father’s house.
Judges 15:8 (Judges 15): 8 And he smote them hip and thigh with a great slaughter: and he went down and dwelt in the top of the rock Etam.; Judges 15:16; 16 And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men.; Judges 15:1919; But God clave an hollow place that [was] in the jaw, and there came water thereout; and when he had drunk, his spirit came again, and he revived: wherefore he called the name thereof Enhakkore, which [is] in Lehi unto this day.
Judges 15:14: 14 [And] when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and the cords that [were] upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bandsloosed from off his hands.

Judges 16:27 – 28

27 Now the house was full of men and women; and all the lords of the Philistines [were] there; and [there were] upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made sport.

28 And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes.

Judges 16:30

30 And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed
himself with [all his] might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that [were] therein. So the dead which he slew at his death
were more than [they] which he slew in his life.

Judges 20:35

35 And the LORD smote Benjamin before Israel: and the children of Israel destroyed of the Benjamites that day twenty and five thousand and an hundred men: all these drew the sword.

1 Samuel 6:19

19. And he smote the men of Bethshemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and
ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten [many] of
the people with a great slaughter.

1 Samuel 7:13

13. So the Philistines were subdued, and
they came no more into the coast of Israel: and the hand of the
LORD was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.
